Inclusion Moose Jaw is a not-for-profit, charitable organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and strengthening inclusive communities.

We are one of 12 local branches of Inclusion Saskatchewan, working together across the province to promote belonging, dignity, and opportunity for people of all abilities.

Rooted in Moose Jaw since the mid-1950s,, Inclusion Moose Jaw has grown from a small, grassroots initiative into a trusted, community-based organization with deep local ties.

Our History

Inclusion Moose Jaw was founded by families who believed their loved ones deserved more — more opportunity, more understanding, and a meaningful place in community life.

Families began this work in 1955, advocating for their sons and daughters to live, learn, and participate fully in their communities. They knew their children had gifts to share and deserved the same opportunities as all other children.

From the beginning, we have been a family-based organization, shaped by the voices, experiences, and advocacy of parents, caregivers, and individuals with intellectual disabilities. That grassroots spirit continues to guide everything we do today.

For nearly six decades, we have worked alongside individuals and families in Moose Jaw, adapting to changing needs while staying true to our core values.

Our Approach

At Inclusion Moose Jaw, our work is guided by respect, dignity, and a deep belief in belonging.

We believe:

  • Everyone belongs

  • Everyone deserves dignity and respect

  • Everyone has something valuable to contribute

We take a person-centred, community-focused approach, recognizing that each individual’s journey is unique.

Our role is to listen, support, and help remove barriers - ensuring people have the same rights, opportunities, and access to supports as all other members of the community.

Our Connection

As a local branch of Inclusion Saskatchewan, we are part of a province-wide network advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

This connection allows us to combine strong local relationships with provincial leadership, advocacy, and shared resources - ensuring the people we serve are supported both in Moose Jaw and across Saskatchewan.
